Richmond Pharmacology is one of the UK’s leading Contract Research Organizations and is at the forefront of clinical research in pharmaceutical medicine. Continuing process improvements have created a requirement for a Project Coordinator with considerable MS Project Expertise who can assist and support the Project Management team to facilitate seamless delivery of their project briefs. The successful individual will most likely be a Project Administrator, Project Officer or Project Coordinator with in-depth experience of running multiple complex projects concurrently using MS Project. You will need to be highly organised, dynamic, resilient, adaptable and confident in the execution of your responsibilities, remaining calm when presented with changing priorities.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate project activities including simple tasks within larger project plans
  • Support Project Managers in scheduling and updating daily activities within MS Project
  • Manage schedules, organize assignments, communicate progress to team members and stakeholders
  • Confer with Project Managers to break projects down into component tasks, then schedule and set project milestones in MS Project
  • Expert in use of MS Project – ability to train and assist others
  • Impeccable communication skills
  • Facilitate completion of multiple projects to time
  • Assist in coordinating activity across all internal departments
  • Identify threats to successful project delivery and highlight these to Project Managers or key stakeholders
  • Prepare and distribute documentation to all relevant parties
  • Manage resource availability and allocation
  • Agree and implement project controls to ensure quality of deliverables


  • Proven track record of supporting at group level within a fast-paced environment
  • Extensive experience in multitasking for more than one project
  • Excellent eye for detail and ability to take initiative when necessary
  • Prior experience as a Project Administrator / Coordinator / Officer
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Project and use of project tools such as flowcharts, Gantt charts, schedulers
  • Highly organized and meticulous
  • Evidence of completing MS Project specific training would be preferred – MOS certification would be highly attractive
  • Industry recognised Project Management accreditation preferred
